Critique: This is an advertisement for the Principe ketchup company. It has a sexual appeal to it with the tongue sticking out and licking the bare hot dog. The hot dog is plain, on a bed of lettuce and on a plain white plate. Also the ketchup bottle is half seen to emphasis the importance of the actual liquid ketchup and the form of the tongue. The bottle is red and yellow and the background is grey with a gradient. The audience could be towards any viewer but because of its sexual appeal it may be targeted towards men/women. The composition is well balanced by having the eye follow the tongue then to the hot and with the bold red colour our eye sees the ketchup tongue first.
